How long should you avoid the sun before and after microneedling?
Sun Exposure Before and After Treatments
Feb 18, 2022
If you are getting any type of facial treatment done, sun exposure should always be limited before and after treatment to prevent possible hypo- or hyperpigmentation. While each provider will have a different policy for the exact number of days/weeks sun needs to be avoided before and after treatment, 2 weeks is a good rule of thumb. Wearing sunscreen and a hat are great ways to avoid unwanted sun exposure on the face during facial treatments.
Is Microneedling RF safe for sensitive and thin skin?
RF microneedling for sensitive and thin skin
Feb 18, 2022
RF microneedling can help strength the skin by producing collagen and elastin. If your skin is thinner, your provider should use a more superficial needle depth to avoid going too deep. Sensitive skin may turn more red from microneedling, but in the end the treatment should help strength your skin overall

Microneedling RF vs plain microneedling for acne scars
Sep 12, 2021
There are studies to show that the addition of RF will improve your results. It is hard to put actual dollar amounts on the benefit. I understand your dilemma. Perhaps try one microneedling RF with the additional of TCA Cross on the larger boxcar/icepick scars and then make a decision on your next treatment. Pick a provider that is flexible and will work with your budget. Best of luck.
Should the orbicularis oris muscle be relaxed or tightened to raise upper lip?
Lip flip
Sep 12, 2021
There is evidence that relaxing the orbicularis oris muscle with a small amount of neurotoxin placed at the vermillion border can evert the lip a few mm. and increase the "pink show" of your lip, and effectively decrease the length from your nose to your lip. The effect in any given patient patient is variable, and one just has to give it a try to see. It will only last a couple of months if you do not like it. It will not result in a longer, flatter lip. Your lip will just return to its...
Should I continue Picosure sessions or get other treatment?
PicoSure for acne scars
Aug 16, 2021
Hello,
The best treatment plan for acne scars would be 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. The collagen and elastin stimulation to fill in those acne scars would best be served 4 weeks apart. Waiting 5 months in between is too long for the ongoing treatments to benefit each other.
