Statement: I am a board certified dermatologist specializing in general dermatology, laser and cosmetic procedures. My practice serves the Northern Virginia and Washington DC areas. I received my Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, from Grinnell College in Iowa. I went on to receive my medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri, and then completed internships at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Michigan, and Saint Mary’s Community Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I completed my residency in dermatology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. where I was chief resident. I then completed a fellowship at Dermatology Associates of San Diego County in Mohs, laser treatments, liposculpture and other minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.

Swelling after Coolsculpting is perfectly normal! The two areas I see that swell the most often are the belly and the chin, so I always recommend planning your treatments around your social schedule!
