Statement: Hi everyone! I’m Dr. Christine Annunziata and I am glad you stopped by my RealSelf page! I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Biology at the University of Virginia and pursued my Medical Doctorate at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. Graduating with honors and ranking in the top one percent of my class, I then completed my internship at Georgetown University, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at UCLA in California. My journey continued with a three-year fellowship in orbital, oculofacial, and reconstructive facial surgery. During my fellowship, I received specialized training in aesthetic treatments and surgery of the skin, face, and eyelids.

As a proud member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, I specialize in the medical and surgical care of various eye conditions, including drooping, turned in, or loose upper and lower eyelids, eyelid lesions, skin cancer excision and reconstruction, thyroid eye disease, orbital tumors, tearing, and dry eye syndrome. My expertise extends to cosmetic surgery, encompassing face, neck, and brow lifts, as well as popular office procedures such as Botox, fillers, and skin treatments.

Originally a native of Virginia, I spent four years in private practice in the Los Angeles area before joining Metrolina Eye and making Charlotte, NC my home.
