You should seek the consultation of a board certified plastic surgeon who performs many breast and body procedures. As long as you are in generally good health, and your BMI is 35 or less, then it can be done.

It is true that increased anesthesia time does increase the risk of complications but at around the 7- 8 hour mark. Also, larger BMI patients and those who are higher risk are better served by staging the two procedures.

As long as the complication rate for both the breast reduction and the tummy tuck together does not exceed the complication rate for either procedure alone, then it can be done.
