I expect some collapse of the breast following explantation. The
presence of an implant effaces or stretches out the overlying breast tissue,
soft tissue and skin. Following removal, the empty space will collapse upon
itself. However, over time, at least partial correction is achieved naturally
as the skin and soft tissues readjust over 3 months or so. If residual

Breast pain after augmentation may be due to the development of a capsular contracture or nerve compression resulting from the implant, or may be totally unrelated, such as chronic mastitis. It is important to differentiate, as implant removal will not affect mastitis.

Hi and welcome to our forum. In our practice, we perform a 3 layer closure. It is not a "standard", but provides an acceptable scar. Adding more "layers" adds to the amount of foreign body in the incision which may predispose to infection. The epidermis is only 0.1 mm in thickness, about the thickness of a piece of paper, and won't hold a suture. Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and advice. Best wishes...
