Thanks for your question; most women will have stretched abdominal skin and rectus diastasis after multiple pregnancies (with or without a history of C-section deliveries). Diet and exercise will do virtually nothing to correct these two issues and abdominoplasty is the best surgical solution for an improved appearance. It is very common for the umbilicus (belly button) to appear quite swollen for weeks (to even occasionally months).  It will eventually return to a normal unswollen state.   Based on your photos, your early umbilicus appearance is quite normal. If you have ongoing concerns, it’s always best to address them with your surgeon.

Thanks for your question; it's impossible to answer without examining you.  It is possible to have a chronic seroma (fluid collection under the skin flap) after a tummy tuck.  These can be limited to above the belly button or the entire abdomen.  An imaging study could help identify this (ultrasound, for example).  It is also possible that a swollen seeming abdomen could be due to inadequate abdominal wall/diastasis plication.  You should revisit this with your surgeon to try to deter...

You can safely undergo tubal ligation after tummy tuck; this is usually done laparoscopically through several small abdominal incisions.  You should be completely healed from your tummy t\uck with resolution of all postoperative swelling.  This should be possible by about six months.

Thanks for your question, serum is relatively common after tummy tuck; treatment is accomplished with needle aspiration drainage; this may need to be done more than once to achieve complete resolution.  Seroma should not affect your long term. outcome.  Many surgeons now are performing brainless tummy tuck, using a series of progressive tension or quilting sutures to close off the "dead space" under the skin flap.  Since I have been doing this, we have had virtually no seromas.

In a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) the abdominal skin is elevated off of the abdominal wall, the muscles tightened and the excess skin removed. There is a "space" between the skin flap and the abdominal wall with raw surfaces which will weep fluid until the tissue heals back together.
