For small umbilical hernias, mesh is usually not needed and this repair can be done by the plastic surgeon. For larger hernias, mesh may be needed, and a general surgeon may be asked to assist. A side view (lateral) photo and in-person exam by a board certified plastic surgeon would be helpful in answering your question but in general, liposuction is a great option for patients who have excess fat pockets with good skin tone, and close to their ideal body weight. For patients who have a lot of loose skin, tummy tuck would be a better option to achieve a flat tummy. Hope this helps…best of luck!

Also, your implants have not yet dropped completely and may not for a few more months.
