Before and after blepharoplasty 1 year later. Is a revision possible?
Jul 10, 2019
In blepharoplasty surgery, attention has to be paid to avoiding removal of so much eyelid skin such that eyelid closure is incomplete. Further eyelid closure with or without a longer scar may not be appropriate.  Brow lifting would probably be helpful and possible even fillers. Make an appointment with a board certified Plastic or Oculoplastic Surgeon to discuss options.
Lipo efficiency. Would a PS be able to remove more fat cells if one were able to reduce thei
smaller fat cells
Jul 10, 2019
Losing weight is always a good idea. Liposuction is more about shape than just weight or size. This may not apply to you but there are limits to how much fat you should remove at one time as an outpatient. By losing weight, you may allow for a more complete result.
Upon consultation, my surgeon thinks I may benefit more from a fleur de lis/extended tummy t
vertical scar
Jul 10, 2019
Both procedures will offer you significant improvement. You will be happier each way. If the vertical scar will not bother you, the flier de lis can remove skin in the transverse as well as the vertical dimension. You just have to decide if the vertical scar is acceptable. Most of my patients choose to avoid the scar.
How can I get my stomach flat and tight? I got a tummy liposuction years ago.
Flat tummy
May 21, 2019
Thank you for your question. As you have noticed, liposuction is a great tool to remove unwanted fat, but if a patient has loose skin there is likely to be sagging.
Without knowing your medical history I can’t give you too much advice, though many women who have had children find that they face the same challenges you do… loose skin and the look of fullness even when there is little fat present. Sagging skin and abdominal roundness (often due to muscle separation called diastasis recti) real...
15 days post op. Should I be concerned of my implants being placed too high?
recovery time required
May 21, 2019
Thank you for your question. At only 15 days post-op, you still very early on in recovery. Over the next few weeks to months, your implants will settle into the breast pocket (this is the “drop and fluff” that many people refer to) and will not appear so high on the chest. The best thing you can do is be patient, follow your surgeon’s postop instructions, and be sure to contact him or her should you have any concerns. Best of luck!
Am I a good candidate for liposuction? Can liposuction overcome poor genetics?
Liposuction expectations
May 7, 2019
Thank you for your question. You appear to be a good candidate for liposuction to the abdomen. You will certainly be able to remove fat from this area, though a perfectly flat abdomen would depend on the amount of fat you have intra-abdominally and on whether or not you have any abdominal separation that could add to the appearance of a fuller abdomen.
As far as genetics go, some people ARE more likely to carry weight in their midsection or other areas of the body. However, during...
Regular or extended tummy tuck? What procedure you would recommend?
tummy tuck
May 7, 2019
Thank you for your question. A regular tummy tuck with muscle repair (to correct separated abdominal muscles, which are very common in women who have had children) would likely give you pleasing results, though it would be best for you to have an in-person evaluation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to make this determination. Best of luck!
Will 415cc too big for me? Will be D cup? Or DD?
cup size
May 7, 2019
Thank you for your question. The implant size must be determined through an in-person consultation where your board-certified plastic surgeon will take measurements of your anatomy. 415cc will likely give you an additional one to two cup sizes; however, I encourage patients to focus on the look they want to achieve, not what the tag on the back of their bra says. I would recommend scheduling an appointment to be evaluated.
What can I do to prevent my nose from pointing down when I smile?
Nasal tip drooping?
Apr 18, 2019
Thank you for your question. When we smile, the muscles that connect our lip and nose cause our nostrils to move backwards, which can make it appear that the nasal tip is drooping even though it generally stays in the same position. Botox can be very cautiously used (in small doses and by a very experienced injector) to relax that muscle. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss Botox or the possibility of a rhinoplasty to address y...
Would lipo be sufficient with my breast augmentation for my body type?
tummy tuck or lipo?
Apr 18, 2019
Thank you for your question. From your photos, your skin does not appear to be loose and it looks like you could be a suitable candidate for liposuction of the lower abdomen rather than a full tummy tuck. One thing to consider is that there may be a separation of your abdominal muscles (diastasis recti) causing it to “pooch” beyond just excess fat; if this is the case, muscle repair, which is done in most of the tummy tucks I perform, will be needed to give you a flat abdomen.
Will these drop?
postop recovery and appearance
Apr 18, 2019
At 4 days post op you are still very early in your recovery. While patience can be difficult, your appearance is not unusual for someone at your stage in healing. Over the next several months your breasts will “drop and fluff” as they settle and your muscle and tissues relax to accommodate the implants. If you have concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your plastic surgeon. He or she would certainly be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
Since I am happy with my nose aesthetically, can the columella be repositioned to make my no
Repositioning the columella
Apr 4, 2019
Thank you for your question. Yes, it is possible to re-position and straighten the columella. With  only one photo it's hard to make any recommendations, but I would suggest scheduling an in-person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and how best to address your concerns. Best of luck!
Is explanting and doing a lift at the same time complicated?
Lift and explant
Apr 4, 2019
Thank you for your question. Implant removal and a breast lift can certainly be done at the same time, though in some  cases a surgeon may recommend deflation in order that both he/she and the patient can see what degree of ptosis (or sagging) is present before deciding on how to proceed with a lift. I am a big supporter of pre-operative saline implant deflation. This allows for a more precisely planned breast lift. After breast implant removal the skin of the breast will recoil to some ...
Is a tummy tuck necessary without loose skin?
Tummy tuck or lipo
Apr 4, 2019
Even when a patient has not had a child, a tummy tuck may be appropriate. The main function of a tummy tuck is to removed excess/loose skin and flatten the abdomen, and muscle repair can be a component as well. This procedure can be, and often is, done in combination with liposuction.
Neither procedure is a "weight loss" surgery, however. It is generally recommended that candidates for liposuction or a tummy tuck are at a stable, healthy weight prior to surgery to avoid complications and...
Is it possible to do Mommy Makeover+Nose Job at once?
Combining procedures
Mar 28, 2019
Thank you for your question. Combining procedures is common and can be done, but this will depend on exactly what you are hoping to have done. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine which procedure, or combination of procedures, is most appropriate for your desired results.
