What Kind Of Surgeon Should I Go To For Eyelid Ptosis Repair?
Ptosis surgery
Sep 16, 2011
Many surgical specialities perform eyelid surgery, but ptosis is a very difficult thing to correct. See someone who performs a lot ot ptosis surgery, such as an oculoplastic surgeon.
Asymmetry and Droopy Lower Lids After Blepharoplasty - Revision Options?
Lower eyelid drooping post blepharoplasty
Sep 16, 2011
Hello, This 'bowing' of the lower eyelids can been seen after lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Depending on how much scarring is located in the eyelids, often the best option for improving this condition is a canthoplasty - or elevation and tightening of the lower eyelid. These surgeries can be tricky, so make sure to see someone with expertise in eyelid surgery. Good luck.
Can Reconstructive Surgery Make my Distorted Upper Eyelid Look Better?
Reconstructive eyelid surgery
Sep 16, 2011
In most cases, there are options for improving the cosmesis and functionality of the eyelids after trauma. It's impossible to better direct you without a full history of what has been done, and photographs of how things look now. You should see a reconstructive eyelid specialist, such as an oculoplastic surgeon in your area and get a comprehensive eval.
What is the Healing Time for Endoscopic Brow Ptosis Repair and Blepharoplasty?
Healing from endoscopic brow lift and blepharoplasty
Sep 15, 2011
You should plan on one week with significant bruising and swelling and some discomfort. Based on your job description, you probably could go back to work after one week. Many patients will take a second week off, so that most of the swelling and bruising has resolved.
Will Botox Take Care of Glabellar Lines with Thin Skin?
Botox for glabellar lines
Sep 15, 2011
Botox is the best treatment for glabellar lines and you can expect to see improvement in your lines after injection. Since the lines are somewhat deep, consecutive treatments with Botox (every 3-6 months) will sequentially improve the appearance.
Had Botox Injections for Forehead and Under Eyebrow, Why am I More Droopy then Before?
botox to your eyelid/eyebrow
Sep 15, 2011
It is common to inject Botox as a chemical brow lift. The goal is to weaken the brow depressors (muscles that pull your brow down). This injection point is close to the eyelid and to the muscles that raise your eyelid. If these muscles are affected by the Botox, you can develop a temporary droopy eyelid. I would hold on additional Botox and speak with your injector about an eyedrop (iopidine, or similar) that will help raise the lid until the Botox wears off.
Recommendation for Blepharoplasty?
ptosis and dermatochalasis
Sep 15, 2011
If you prefer the more open appearance of the second photograph, then you should see an oculoplastic surgeon in your area. Ptosis surgery alone (without blepharoplasty) would give you the opportunity to have a similar appearance. I would caution against upper eyelid blepharoplasty based upon your age and the chance that upper lid blepharoplasty will femanize your eyelids (show more of the front portion of the eyelid). Good luck.
