Could blood thinners increase the risk for Botox disseminating to other areas?
toxin spreading + blood thinners
Oct 23, 2022
Helloan excellent question. although extremely rare, theoretically any botulinum toxin injection could spread to adjacent areas if there is a significant bruise during the procedure and/or pressure is applied to the treated area immediately after the injection. this would be especially important in the periocular area (around the eyes). however, an impeccable technique by your physician should easily avoid this very rare potential issue.
Can your smile be permanently affected after one session of botox? 3 months post, 20 units injected.
do not worry, not permanent
Oct 22, 2022
Hello,do not worry but try to give it a bit more time! botulinum toxin works by attaching permanently to specific nerve endings in the treated area. HOWEVER, the toxin’s muscle-relaxing effect only last 3-6 months because that’s how long it takes for our nerves to regenerate. so, again, do not worry, you will soon look exactly how you did prior to the treatment.
There’s a new office in town offering $12/unit for Botox, is this too good to be true?
Very low Botox price
Oct 6, 2018
Although this would be a very low price in my area it could be an introductory price. Some spas, nurses and even doctors that are new to an area or new to cosmetic procedures will offer such prices for a while. My recommendation, stick with an experienced oculofacial or facial surgeon, plastic surgeon or dermatologist.
How many treatments of Emsculpt for abdomen? How long between treatments?
How many-EMSculpt?
Oct 4, 2018
The recommended initial minimum treatment should be at least 4 sessions separated by no less than 48 hours. Most will do 2 sessions a week for 2 weeks. Maintenance, however, is up to the individual. Just like maintaining what you achieve by working out, you will want to keep the results by repeating sessions every so often. Most will repeat single sessions between 1-6 months. In addition, we always recommend keeping up with regular exercise and a balanced diet for ongoing...
When should I have fillers and Botox on a sunny vacation?
Botox/fillers and sun
Oct 1, 2018
Hi tiana10
there should not be any issues having botox and fillers while on vacation even if it is sunny.
my recommendation, however, is that you have the treatment closer to where you live in case you need any correction/adjustment.

Botox in glabella leading to forehead wrinkles
Sep 28, 2018
It’s always hard to judge without seeing the patient in person and potentially unfair to the past provider. We would need more info for a more complete picture.
In general, if Botox is injected higher than normal in the glabella/brows, maybe to try to avoid the potential complication of droopy eyelids when injected too low, it can cause heavy/droopy eyebrows by relaxing the lower part of the forehead muscle (essential to the c...
Follow-up question: What is the least invasive way to lift brow and help with deep forehead wrinkles?
Forehead lines
Sep 13, 2018
Hello anewpage
As some have mentioned, botulinum toxin is your first option. If properly injected, it could lift and make the eyebrows more symmetric. There are ways to "play" with dose and injection site to deal with asymmetries. However, think that if you were to chemically relax completely the forehead lines, you are also weakening the tone of the muscle that elevates the brows, therefore, exacerbating the brow droop. There is fine balance between both and you appear to have droopy...
