Thank you for your very important question. If everything goes correctly and there are no unforeseen problems, a non-board certified plastic surgeon may be fine. Unfortunately, you never know what problems may be encountered during surgery. Board certified plastic surgeons have years of training and are held to a much higher standard.

Thank you for your questions. Looking at your photos, I would not recommend liposuction. Although its not easy, weight loss would be required before I recommend any surgical intervention. In the future, you would most likely be a better candidate for an abdominoplasty rather than liposuction. Best of luck.

Thank you for your question. It is difficult to determine from the photos but at this point I would recommend waiting. You may require a revision down the road but at this point I would wait at least 6-8 more weeks before undergoing any surgical intervention.

Thank you for your questions. It is difficult to see from the photos but if you do have excess lower eyelid “bags”, surgery may be your best options. There may also be a role for botox if you ar looking for a non-surgical option. I would recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgery for evaluation to help determine your best option.

Thank you for your question. It is normal for women to have pain for the first several weeks after surgery. I typically recommend patients to leave their implants in place for at least 3 months after surgery before having them removed. Will my puckered scars flatten???

Thank you for your questions. Your “puckering” is most likely from the sutures below the incisions and will continue to improve. They should flatten with time. I don’t want to tell you that you will not require a scar revision, but it is unlikely and they should continue to improve. Thank you for your questions. Being only 7 days out from surgery, your breasts have not yet settled into their final position. I tell my patients that your breasts will cont. to settle for the first 3 months after surgery. It is also difficult to determine your final size until your implants full settle. Thank you for your question. Alloderm wouldn’t be my first choice to correct a nasolabial fold defect but that doesn’t mean that it can’t work. I would recommend talking with your plastic surgeon and make sure you see their past results. If you are happy with these results and feel comfortable, I feel it would be reasonable to proceed. Just make sure you know all of your options (e.g. fat grafting, filler). Best of Luck!

Brachioplasty – staples or sutures?

Thank you for your question. I do not use staples because I do not like the appearance of the scars. Arm incisions do have a difficult time healing and often want to widen. Your plastic surgeon may find that the final results are better with staples. I would recommend having a discussion them him/her about why they choose the technique they did. Best of luck!
