My biggest concern would be that you felt your breathing was back to normal as you wouldn't want to undergo a long general anesthesia if you felt your breathing was still compromised by a bad sinus infection. In my opinion, it would be totally reasonable to travel 5 weeks after your surgery like you are asking. Of course, your surgeon's opinion is paramount as there may be other factors involved in your individual case.
