Patients do occasionally get chronic breast pain with implants. it seems to be more common with implants that are under the muscle. if the implants are the cause of the pain, I would expect that the pain would resolve after the implants are removed. I would recommend finding a board certified plastic surgeon near you and discussing your concerns with them.

Thank you for your question. Capsules are the bodies natural response to a foreign object. They are predominately made of your bodies own natural collagen. If you had a thinner capsule, it would likely be resorbed by now since your surgery was 2 years ago. A thicker or calcified capsule has probably not resorbed and can be removed with surgery. It isn't unusual to still have pain 2 weeks after surgery. The pain tends to be worse in patients that had implants below the muscle and in patients that had a thicker capsule that may have been adherent to the chest wall. It sounds like you may fall into both of these categories. The pain should gradually decrease over the first 4-6 weeks and then you will probably only feel it if you strain.
