Dog ears are pretty typical with tummy tuck/lipoabdominoplasty surgery. Dog ears are also very easy to revise and should be part of the original cost of the surgery. Usually the dog ears can be revised under local anesthesia after about 6mths to a year of recovery. I wait at least 6 months to a year because they can flatten out on there own. It is important that you get in for a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. The surgeon will most likely recommend bilateral implant removal and a possible implant holiday depending on what the breast pocket and capsule look like inside. Usually, when a patient has a deflated implant, I attempt to have the implants removed immediately because the longer a deflated implant sits the more chance for bacteria. Many of my patients travel from out of state to have surgery.  Normally I recommend my patients to stay in town for 2wks after a lipoabdominoplasty.  I recommend this amount of time so that I can monitor their recovery closely.  Also, there are usually drains involved with this type of surgery that take at least 5 days before being taken out and sutures are not removed until 12 days.  If a patient needs to return to home after a week then we make sure that a doctor in their area is will...

Majority of my patients want silicone and if they are a candidate for the transaxillary approach then that is the incision that I use.  The Keller Funnel is a wonderful tool that is a more sterile technique and keeps the incision small allowing silicone to go through the armpit very easily.

When you have your implants removed, the surgeon will be able to tell you who the manufacturer is and they can help you with the warranty claim.  By you already calling the three companies, a claim has been started.  Once your surgeon finds out the company, it should be a pretty easy process.  Good luck to you!

Significant changes in breast size can definitely be an issue.  Contact your surgeon immediately.  I usually have my patients wrap their breasts with an ace bandage to compress while they are in transit to the office.  Good luck.
