Biography: Anita Athavale, MS, PA-C, has earned her Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies and is a certified Physician Assistant. She has primarily worked in the Emergency Room and Urgent Care settings, which has allowed her to gain a broad depth of knowledge and skills. The benefits she has seen of being a physician assistant in those particular settings included being responsible for doing the majority of bedside procedures. Through this experience, she has become very comfortable with injections and hands on procedures.

She comes to Dignity Medical Aesthetics eager to pursue a career in aesthetics. During her extensive medical aesthetics training, Anita has shown natural talent in her ability to help patients define their best possible treatments. She is a natural injector and requested by many patients for injections as well as treatments with Laser, IPL, Ulthera, SculpSure and Exilis.

Biography: Missey has completed hundreds of hours of continued education courses and advanced technique training in the areas of aesthetic medicine. Currently, she is a trainer for Allergan Medical (makers of Botox, Juvederm and Latisse) and is responsible for the hands on training for many health care professionals, primarily physicians and nurses, on the use and administration of these products. Missey is also an inspector for the Aesthetic Accreditation Agency, which evaluates medical aesthetic professionals to guarantee safe practices. As Vice President of the Northern California Aesthetic Nurses Association, she also works to provide education and information to aesthetic nurses across the state
Due to her experience in the administration of fillers such as Radiesse, she has extensive knowledge of injection techniques including an impressive and unique procedure that has been coined the “Liquid Face Lift.”

Biography: Jen Thomas, RN has been a registered nurse for over nine years. She is a natural injector and has a keen eye for balance which helps greatly in aesthetics. Her other area of nursing experience is within emergency room nursing. Jen is so adept with a needle that she is the nurse called to the floors of the hospital when no one else can start an IV! This acute hand-eye coordination has proved to be a valuable asset in aesthetic medicine. Her ability to use a micro-cannula is not only safer for dermal filler injections, but limits patient bruising and swelling. She is also very well trained in the use of laser and light based technologies, which contributes to outstanding patient outcomes.

Biography: After working as an esthetician and creating her own business since 2009, Ashley decided to expand her skill set and went on to become a registered nurse with the intent in working in the medical aesthetic arena. Because of her passion to maintain and improve the health of skin, she is a perfect fit at Dignity Medical Aesthetics. She has been carefully trained on the many devices and treatment techniques and has a natural ability to help discern the appropriate treatments for each individual patient. She works closely with her patients to develop a customized care plan for meeting aesthetic goals.

Biography: Lacey Russo, our Patient Care Coordinator, has been in the Medical Aesthetic field for over 10 years. Her extensive knowledge of Medical Aesthetics and our skin care products make her a reliable resource for patients at Dignity Medical Aesthetics. She has completed comprehensive training courses for Obagi Skin Care and Aesthetic Medicine Concepts.She is able to answer most questions that patients have to help reinforce information they received as a patient, as well as to answer questions in depth regarding available services. As a service to our patients, Lacey completes and submits all available rebate forms for their convenience. This saves our patients time and supports every opportunity to achieve maximum savings towards products and services.
