I think it is a great possible choice. YOU will need to discuss all risks/benefits with your dermatologist. Make sure you see a dermatologist who is comfortable with prescribing accutane.

There are a lot of medical treatments for acne. I would recommend seeing a Dermatologist for the best treatment regimen for you as over the counter treatments do not compare to prescription modalities. The best thing to do with acne is be aggressive with treatment so that it does not have a chance to scar.

You will need to be evaluated by a Board Certified dermatologist to see if it is truly acne returning and discuss all treatment options. It could be a number of things including recurring acne.

Isotretinoin can affect people differently. Some patients do complain of GI upset but usually these symptoms are mild. Make sure you are taking your medication as instructed with food.
