A mommy makeover in Costa Rica usually involves a breast and abdominal wall contouring procedure. That typically means a breast augmentation with or without a lift and a tummy tuck with liposuction. A tummy tuck involves tightening the muscles and removing extra skin

Anxiety befor Tummy Tuck or Mommy Makeover

I would never recommend having mommy makeover out of the country. What if you have a complication once you return home? Who will care for you? I cannot speak to the safety of the Costa Rica in general but I would not travel alone

Your surgeon may have not training in plastic surgery and whatever you hope to gain financially could easily be lost in subsequent procedures to correct problems

The idea of going alone is absolutely a terrible idea. I strongly suggest getting a consultation with a local, experienced, board certified plastic surgeon.

I would highly recommend against going to the Costa Rica for plastic surgery. Bargain shopping is never a good idea when it comes to your body and you’re putting yourself in jeopardy when having surgery in an unregulated environment

Sleeping after mommy makeover

Following a mommy makeover that includes a tummy tuck, it is important to keep your hips flexed so that you decrease tension on your lower abdominal incision. Most often this means sitting up in bed at a 45 degree angle and putting a pillow under your knees

Usually is also ok to rest on your side with your hips flexed. It is best to change positions from time to time rather than staying in only one position. You can straighten out completely after a few weeks
