Too much physical activity too soon could increase your risk of post operative complications. You should also be drinking plenty of water and avoiding salty foods to help flush the extra fluid from your body. There’s no way to tell how soon your body will lose the extra fluid and subsequent weight but if you feel like your swelling is getting worse or becomes painful contact your surgeon immediately.
