In my practice, patients are usually back to work in two weeks – depending upon how strenuous their job is, light exercise at 4 weeks, and generally without any restrictions by 6 weeks. i have patients wear compression garments – including when they return to work. some patients recover faster – but this is the typical time frame. discuss this with your plastic surgeon based upon their experience, their technique, and typical postoperative instructions and regimen.

I do not use drains when performing a brazilian butt lift. some surgeons do – but many do not. some surgeons do not suture the incisions closed and allow for drainage – and some surgeons do suture the liposuction incisions. there are many variations in technique and practices – you should consult with board certified plastic surgeons that perform bbls regularly and learn what may be ideal for your particular goals, health and specific situation.
