Answer Snippet
Can a Botox lip flip affect cheeks when smiling?
Possibly…
Jan 19, 2022
When botox is injected into a muscle, it causes that muscle to relax. Since muscles in our face move together to make facial expressions, paralyzing/relaxing one of the muscles may lead you to use other muscles more than before injections to compensate for the lack of muscle movement in other areas. Typically botox injections last around 3 months, but this can be different for different patients depending on their body’s metabolism.
Can I have Botox while taking erythromycin for a tooth infection?
Botox is a local injection, so it should be fine 🙂
Jan 19, 2022
Since botox is injected locally and remains in the muscles in which it is injected, there should be no problem to have it injected while on antibiotics. Botox is injected in small amounts and is not absorbed systemically requiring metabolism/excretion by the liver/kidneys, therefore it would not interfere with the metabolism of the antibiotic.
Can I undergo botox or another procedure to change the shape of my eyebrows?
Botox can slightly alter the shape of the eyebrow
Jan 19, 2022
Botox injections relax the muscles in which it is injected. It can be used to lower the arch in brows, or to lift brows. It can be used to alter the shape of the brow slightly, but it would most likely not be a drastic change. A few units injected just above the arch would cause the arch to sit a little lower.
Cheek dropped after Botox to crows feet – is this a permanent side effect?
Luckily, this isn’t permanent 🙂

It seems like some of the toxin was either injected or migrated into one of the muscles that lift the corner of the mouth/cheek. This can happen on occasion, but the effects will usually dwindle and disappear within a few weeks to months. Hope this helps!
Is it safe to have Botox while on immunosuppressive medications?
Safe 🙂

Botox injections are localized, and different from other injectable medications that are systemic (go into your entire body). In small amounts, Botox injections are safe and effective for relaxing muscles.
