Answer Snippet
560 cc & 585 cc , does everything look normal ?
Postop breast augmentation
Feb 27, 2015
Congratulations on your surgery. It appears that all looks normal for what you would expect right after surgery. Implants tend to be high riding and hard to the touch in the beginning and it general takes about 6-8 weeks for things to soften up and settle into position if you had smooth implants placed.Make sure you listen to your doctor's advice and give yourself adequate rest for recovery.Best wishes to you!
Is this a hypertrophic or keloid scar? Does this mean I will scar poorly from a tummy tuck?
Scarring and what you can do about it
Feb 27, 2015
Scars form differently in different areas of the body. The chest often has a certain amount of tension and/or if it is in the middle of your chest, the breasts can act to pull the scar apart, causing it to widen. Although there is always a possibility that your tummy tuck scar will be like the scar on your chest, there is equal possibility that it may be quite different.Steroid injections help to flatten and soften scars but it can also cause the scar to widen. It is a...
Can this issue be addressed without the use of dermal matrix? Sientra textured below the muscle 550
Rippling is a difficult problem to solve
Feb 27, 2015
From the photos, your implants both appear to be in a lower position where a majority of the implant is below the lower border of the pectoralis muscle. Your problem is a challenging one to solve. I would approach the implants through a periareolar incision. I would set the inframammary fold a bit higher on both sides to raise the overall position of the implants and reinforce the fold with SERI scaffold. This is like an internal barrier to keep the inframammary fold...
MOMMY MAKEOVER: Mini or Full TT? Do I have enough loose skin for a very low scar? What do I do about
Your tummy tuck doesn't have to have a high scar
Jan 17, 2014
From the photos, it is difficult to tell the degree of your breast sagginess. But, it appears that you can either get away with just having breast augmentation alone or a breast augmentation with a periareolar (donut) lift. This would limit the scar to either under the fold (about 4-5cm) or around the areola (either half circle or full circle). At the same time, your plastic surgeon could remove the third nipple and the underlying breast tissue most likely through a small...
Do I have tuberous breasts? Are my breast normal?
You have tuberous breasts
Jan 17, 2014
Tuberous breasts occur along a spectrum. Some can be very severe and others very mild. From your photos, it appears that you have different degrees of tuberous breast on each side. The way to fix would be to place breast implants through the areolar approach while releasing some of the constriction in a radial (internally circular) fashion. Then, a donut or periareolar tightening may help the areolar appearance. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon in your...
Is it possible to get higher, more youthful looking breasts & symmetry with revision?
Capsule adjustment to lift up the breast on the left side should help to give you more upper pole fullness
Jan 17, 2014
Where the implant sits on the chest has a lot to do with the chest anatomy. For example, if the distance between the collar bone and the inframammary fold is longer proportionately, the implants may not give you much upper pole fullness no matter how big an implant you go with. From your photos, it appears that especially on the left side, the inframammary fold needs to be brought up higher to match the other side. Then, a possibly a larger set of implants may give you more...
I'm Ready to Get my Body Back in Shape and Have a Few Surgeries Done to Achieve my Desired End Resul
You are a good candidate for a mommy makeover
Sep 24, 2013
Based on your photos, you should be a good candidate for a mommy makeover. Your plan of getting in shape and losing weight before your surgery is a good one. Best wishes to achieving your goals :)
Tattoo Removal During TT?
Your tattoo should be gone after your tummy tuck
Sep 24, 2013
If your surgeon is planning on doing a full tummy tuck, this tattoo should be completely removed by your surgery. You ought to know however, that in order to remove it completely, the incision will have run slightly longer than the length of the tattoo. I'm sure your surgeon will explain things in detail on your surgery date when you ask him. Best wishes!
Will a Tummy Tuck Without Lipo Still Give Me the Best Results?
Liposuction often complements tummy tucks
Sep 19, 2013
Liposuction is commonly used to contour the flanks at the same time as a tummy tuck. You may want to see another plastic surgeon to get at least another opinion on the matter. However, judging by your photo, liposuction would enhance your results.

There is a midline scar on your abdomen however; and, aggressive liposuction in various areas at the same time as a tummy tuck may jeopardize circulation to the abdomen as you heal after a tummy tuck. So, caution is indicated...

Can I Have a Mommy Makeover 6 Weeks After Giving Birth?
Best to wait at least 6 months to a year after childbirth for mommy makeovers
Sep 19, 2013
I realize that you may be in a hurry to get your prepregnancy body back. But, it is best to allow your body to recover for at least 6 months to a year before considering mommy makeover surgery.
6 Weeks Postpartum and Still Nursing, Scheduling a TT. What Are You're Thoughts?
6 months is generally a good rule of thumb
Sep 9, 2013
Your body needs about six months to a year to recover from a pregnancy. It takes about that length of time for your uterus to shrink down and your skin to recoil so it's best to wait until then to get your tummy tuck :)
Do I Need a Tummy Tuck?
Your abdomen would benefit from a tummy tuck
Jan 24, 2013
It is difficult to make a clinical judgement for certain without an examination, but looking at your photos, it appears that the skin removal that a tummy tuck would provide would tighten up your abdomen to give a considerable improvement to your torso. As a weigthloss plastic surgeon, I have done a number of patients who are about your age and they have gone on to have very nice results and restore their confidence in their bodies at a young age. Best wishes to you!
Shouldn't I Replace my Implants if I'm Going Under to Have a Lift Anyway?
Implant sizing is crucial when doing a breast lift
Jan 24, 2013
While your question seems relatively straight forward, there are many aspects of it that can make the answer a bit complicated. First, the ability for the skin to hold up the implant weight and your breast tissue determines how long you will keep the shape that you want. This has to do with the implant size and the amount of breast tissue you have. It also has to do with the elasticity of your skin and whether you have had breast feeding experience, weight gain/loss,...
How Can I Make Scarring on Breast Less Noticable?
Scar formation after breast surgery
Jan 24, 2013
Scar formation is often individually dependent. Some people form barely noticeable scars while others have darker or raised scars. However, scar minimization can be achieved with the use of silicone gel patches or ointments. Steroid ointments, tapes, and injections can also work. The best thing to do is to ask your plastic surgeon as to what treatment is the best for you. There are more invasive treatments as well such as chemical peels or lasers to make the...
Correction After Periareola Lift?
A vertical lift will help with the double bubble shape of your breasts
Jan 2, 2013
Although it is difficult to answer your question from looking only at photographs, it appears that you have a double bubble shape to your breasts. This is typically characterized by a fullness in the upper pole of your breasts due to the implants and the breast tissue in the lower part of your breasts that creates a second fullness that appears to be falling off of your central breast.

A vertical lift will correct this issue. A periareolar lift will not...
