Can filler be used to fix my upper eyelid asymmetry?
Fillers an option, but may not completely fix
Feb 9, 2019
Feb 9, 2019
I think the amount of eyelid showing above your lashes is asymmetric, and as one responder observed, if you look closely enough at other people, that is a very common area to have a little asymmetry. Whether it bothers you enough to have it addressed is a personal question that nobody can decide for you. Filler can mask this asymmetry some, but it would be hard to make it completely symmetric. I would say fillers could get you 60-70% of the way there, and if you would be happy with…
Are eye bags caused by sagging skin and fat bags?
No fat freezing around the eyes
Feb 9, 2019
Feb 9, 2019
This is a good question. Cryolipolysis (Coolsculpting) can freeze the fat around your body and make it shrink, including in some cases around the face. The fat around the eyes is not a good area to have this treatment because the freezing technique is too close to the eyes and, even if it was safe, it would be difficult to calibrate the amount of fat you are trying to make go away. Your best bet would be to get an opinion from a qualified oculofacial plastic surgeon who is part of…
Where would be the best place to have Botox injected?
Neurotoxin to the Masseter Muscle
Feb 9, 2019
Feb 9, 2019
Thanks for your question. The masseter muscle is a large and powerful muscle of the face. It’s safe to get neurotoxin (BoTox/Xeomin/Dysport) injected into this area as an off-label use for hypertrophy in this area and for teeth grinding. There are several locations along the muscle that can be injected, including at higher points near the cheek bone as well as lower along the jawline.
Is there a filler that is strong enough to actually lift the face?
Filler can build the cheeks but does not lift the lower face
Feb 9, 2019
Feb 9, 2019
Thanks for your question. In my opinion and experience, filler in the cheek area can enhance the appearance of your cheeks and may give some lift to the skin overlying the area where the filler was injected. When injected into the cheeks, filler alone is not powerful enough to lift the lower face along the jawline — which is the area where a facelift would do it’s work. Filler into the cheeks may be able to give more harmony and symmetry to the lines just above your lips, but it’s important…
How Long Before Botox Results Can Be Seen?
Timing of BoTox Onset

Jun 9, 2017
Most patients begin to notice a change in their sensation of how their forehead moves about 3-5 days after injection, and the full effect can take up to 2 weeks to set in.
