Biography: Steven joined Advanced Dermatology in February of 2010. Previously, Steve practiced general dermatology at a busy general and cosmetic dermatology practice with offices located in downtown Chicago and Kankakee. He has extensive experience in all aspects of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in pre-medicine and clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Steve completed his physician assistant studies at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York in 2000. There he received the Julia L. Freitag award, which is awarded annually to the graduate attaining the highest level of academic and clinical achievement.

She graduated from New Trier High School and went on to attend Northwestern University, graduating with a degree in psychology in 2009. Ann Cameron worked at Northwestern’s Department of Dermatology for 2 years as a Clinical Research Coordinator before completing her physician assistant studies at Northwestern University in May 2013. Ann Cameron is a Diplomate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (ISDPA).

Biography: Elana Cole has been with the Advanced Dermatology team since 2011 when she started as a medical assistant. Originally from Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Elana received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Indiana University. Elana completed her master’s degree in nursing from DePaul University in 2016. She is now a registered nurse and the Aesthetic Nurse Provider at Advanced Dermatology.

Through years of exposure to a variety of medical and surgical specialties, Elana has maintained a strong interest in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Her postgraduate education and training with Dr. Taub, and other esteemed Chicago-land surgeons, has been invaluable to her career and skill-set as a nurse and aesthetic provider. In her multi-faceted role at Advanced Dermatology, Elana is committed to education and improving the quality of patient care.

Biography: Alla has been providing aesthetic treatments at Advanced Dermatology since February of 2003. She studied at Roselle Beauty School, completed her license in Cosmetology in 1993 and has prior training in nursing. Alla was trained in the Pan G™ Lift and now serves as a national trainer for the Pan G™ Lift. She specializes in providing skincare analysis, treatments and developing effective skincare programs for her patients at Advanced Dermatology.

She is now is an Aesthetic Provider at Advanced Dermatology as well as Assistant Store Manager at skinfo® Specialty Skincare Boutique. Samantha Gelman, LE completed Aesthetics School at G Skin Beauty located in Downtown Chicago. Prior to Samantha’s Aesthetic training she attended Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois. As a Columbia College Graduate, Samantha received a Photography Major and Cultural Studies Minor. Additionally, Samantha Gelman, LE has also received a Gemologist certification from Gemology Institute of America.

Biography: Rachel Elizabeth Walker, LE is a licensed esthetician that has been with Advanced Dermatology since October 2017. Working alongside Advanced Dermatology’s top professionals, she has gained great knowledge in general and cosmetic Dermatology. Rachel graduated at the top of her class from the International Skin and Beauty Academy in 2015, proceeding further to become a Certified Medical Assistant and a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Driven by her inquisitive passion for skincare, Rachel continues to make learning and growing a top priority by attending a multitude of additional advanced skincare courses, as well as esthetic educational training. To ensure her patients the best care, she makes it a priority to stay up to date with all past and current trends in preserving the skin.

Biography: Alyssa Conner, LE is a licensed esthetician that has been with Advanced Dermatology and skinfo® since November 2018. Alyssa is currently an Aesthetic Provider at Advanced Dermatology as well as a Skincare Specialist at skinfo®.

Alyssa attended Western Kentucky University where she received a Bachelors degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Psychology.

After working for an industrial manufacturing company for several years, she decided to change career paths and pursue her passion for helping others in the health and beauty industry.

Alyssa received her Aesthetics License in October 2018 from the G Skin Beauty Institute in Schaumburg, Illinois. There she received specialized training in chemical exfoliation, diamond tip microdermabrasion, microcurrent, and ultrasonic devices.
