Sydney Mommy Lift Plastic Surgery Cost
The cost of a Mommy Makeover varies greatly depending on the specific procedures selected and even on the area where the plastic surgeon practices within a large city like Sydney. Plastic Surgeons have various levels of experience and while some do their surgery in a private clinic, others such as myself prefer to perform major surgeries like a Mommy Makeover in a hospital setting.
The latter offers the ultimate in safety and the availability of all resources should there be a medical issue. Since a Mommy Makeover can consist of any combination of liposuction, mini or full tummy-tuck, breast implants or a breast lift with or without implants, the final cost can vary widely.
Most patients can expect costs to range from $10,000.00 – $20,000.00. As these are lengthy, complex surgeries, I can’t reiterate enough the importance of consulting an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon and to look at photos of his or her work. (Arie Benchetrit, MD, Montreal Plastic Surgeon)
Sydney Mommy makeover cost
It is hard to give you a much specific information on cost since there are so many variables involved. The cost of all of the surgical procedures involved vary depending upon geographic region and by surgeon.
In my practice, the abdominoplasty costs about $7500-8500. The breast augmentation costs between $5000-$7000 depending upon the type of implant that is used.
A breast lift alone might cost between $5000-$6500. The difference between a breast lift with an implant and one without is about $2500 if silicone gel implants are used. (William T. Stoeckel, MD, Raleigh-Durham Plastic Surgeon)

You will find difference in pricing in location and amongst surgeons. Also, depending if you have a simple breast augmentation or mastopexy along with the tummy tuck.
My recommendation would be to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for best results. (Jaime Perez, MD, Tampa Plastic Surgeon)
Costs of a mommy makeover in Sydney
The costs of surgery, whether a mommy make over or any other cosmetic surgery will depend on the surgeon and the location. Also, it will depend on what your particular mommy makeover will require.
Some women need only a little liposuction of the abdomen and a breast implant where others need a full tummy tuck and a breast implant combined with a breast lift. (Julio Garcia, MD, Las Vegas Plastic Surgeon)
Mommy makeover prices
Sydney Mommy Makeover is a group of procedures that includes a tummy tuck, liposuction, breast lift and or breast implants. Any or all of these procedures could be performed. The fees vary greatly based on your location and the extent of work that needs to be done. The following would be my estimates of fees in Toronto, Canada:
- Tummy Tuck: $6000-8000
- Liposuction: $4000-6000
- Breast Lift $5000-8000
- Breast augmentation: $6000 – 9000
When combined you will often find that surgeons/clinic will be able to give some kind of a discount on these fees. (Martin Jugenburg, MD, Toronto Plastic Surgeon)
Breast Component of Mommy Makeover Costs
Mommy Makeover prices vary greatly because the procedure itself encompasses a wide range of techniques and separated procedures (tummy and breast most often) that can be performed to different extents. From your question you are focused it seems on one or two breast surgeries and not the tummy component.
For the Mastopexy (breast lift) with or without breast Augmentation procedures by themselves, in Southern California most costs will be in the range between 5-12 thousand dollars. My recommendation is to first find a board certified qualified plastic surgeon that is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. After finding a few you trust, then compare prices between them. Factors that influence the price include:
- Location – Will it be performed in a hospital with an overnight stay, an independent out- patient facility or a doctors office?
- Type of Anesthesia – IV sedation or General Anesthesia? Will a board certified anesthesiologist or a nurse anesthetist be used, or an RN?
- Experience and training of your surgeon. The best trained (and longest) would be a surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery
- Length and Complexity of Surgery – how much of a lift you will need will determine the lift type, if an implant – will it be silicone(more expensive or saline).
If no implant will a fat transfer procedure be involved? How long will the surgery take? (Larry S. Nichter, MD, MS, FACS, Orange County Plastic Surgeon)
The combination of a tummy tuck and liposuction is quite common and the results from this combo turns out very good in most cases. You should consult with a board certified surgeon in your area to determine what your options are. (Ronald J. Edelson, MD, San Diego Plastic Surgeon)
Tummy Tuck and Liposuction
I perform this combination of procedures on a regular basis, but I often will also recommend that certain combinations of Tummy Tuck and liposuction not be performed at the same time.
Meeting with your surgeon and discussing your goals is the best way to find out which option is the best and safest option for you. (John K. Wakelin III, MD, Columbus Plastic Surgeon)
If you mean by targeting the midsection with both techniques at the same time, then yes, it is possible. The procedure is called lipoabdominoplasty. (Jerome Edelstein, MD, Toronto Plastic Surgeon)
Liposuction and Tummy Tuck At The Same Time
The most common place to do liposuction in combination with a tummy tuck are the flanks, and/or inner and outer thighs. You cannot have liposuction in the abdominal area with a tummy tuck.
Traditional liposuction is designed for pockets of fat in individuals with good skin integrity – minimal to no loose skin in the determined area. (David L. Robbins, MD, FACS, West Des Moines Plastic Surgeon)
Mommy makeover with tummy tuck and liposuction
I do this combination in over 90% of the mommy makeovers and tummy tucks. The tummy tuck certainly gives a wonderful flattening of the stomach with the muscles tightened and the hanging over tissue removed.
However, this procedure does not address the back fatty pockets nor the areas of fatty tissue in the hips/love handles etc.
Even in some patients with little fatty tissue deposits, it is useful to add liposuction as seen in the link listed below.
With customized liposuction and the bikini liposuction, it is amazing how a patient can in a few hours literally have their confidence level boosted imensely by this addition to a tummy tuck (Steven M. Lynch, MD, Albany Plastic Surgeon)
Can Liposuction and Tummy Tuck Be Done at the Same Time?
Liposuction is combined with approximately 90% of my abdominoplasties. The technique is time tested and proven safe in the scientific literature. (Jason Mussman, MD, Phoenix Plastic Surgeon)
Liposuction and abdominoplasty combination safety
Liposuction is commonly combined with abdominoplasty in my practice and in most surgeons’ practices but safety considerations must apply. Years ago there was a great deal of enthusiasm for large volume suction but this was found to be a contributor to serious post op complications and enthusiasm for this especially when combined with other major procedures is diminished now. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons developed a series of guidelines for safety of procedures done in office based and private facility settings, and the amount of suction done (volume of “aspirate”) was one of the main things they discussed in their position paper.
As a general rule I do not do more than 1000mls of liposuction in combination with any other major procedure, and I do not operate on patients who have a body mass index of over 30 (BMI).
Many other surgeons have more relaxed guidelines, but you should ask specifically whether your risk is average or higher based on your general health, age, weight and other factors.
In addition I, and many other surgeons, now routinely start patients on a low dose blood thinner, in my practice after the surgery to reduce the risk of blood clot formation in the legs and the rare but dreaded complication of embolus where the clot breaks off and migrates through the circulation to the lungs.
Talk with your surgeon in detail about what is best for you. (Benjamin Gelfant, MD, Vancouver Plastic Surgeon)
